TGA, the UK’s leading mobility scooter specialist, is to unveil the larger 4-wheel version of its pioneering Minimo, the new folding 8mph Maximo, at Naidex National 2014 (29th April – 1st May, NEC, Stand B70).

For 30 years TGA has driven innovation in the mobility scooter sector and this latest launch once again provides a new concept in personal independence.

The new Maximo promises to deliver even higher levels of consumer interest than those associated with its smaller predecessor, the Minimo, which was launched at Naidex National 2013. Introduction of the Minimo represented the beginning of a new genre of compact, folding car boot scooter that provides greater levels of transportability and flexibility. Its optional lightweight lithium battery (only 2.65kgs) is a true groundbreaking development that can be lifted by a single finger and continues to be available with the Maximo.

The Maximo now builds on these outstanding fundamentals to provide a larger, 4-wheel version with greater 17.5 stone (115kg) user weight capacity and an even better driving experience. With more range, features and comfort, the Maximo now combines all the benefits of a collapsible car boot scooter with a larger standard 8mph model.

The TGA Maximo can be folded into a compact size with a single, one-handed operation and requires no parts to be dismantled for storage. Despite its larger size, the Maximo can be easily stored in the boot of an estate car or 4x4 for wider owner freedom with no hassle at all. The Maximo ride is one of the smoothest available through the integration of fully active, all-round suspension and pneumatic tyres. These and the anti-tip castors ensure safety and stability when tackling uneven surfaces such as mounting kerbs at an angle. The powerful motor and high quality controller provide significant performance with a range of up to 12.5 miles (20km). When charging is required, the battery can be easily removed without the need to disconnect fiddly wires.

Daniel Stone, TGA Managing Director said: “Once again, Naidex National will provide the perfect platform for us to unveil another superb TGA innovation to individuals living with restricted mobility. The Minimo and now the Maximo, we believe are the first scooters to successfully deliver a true hybrid design with twice as many benefits. Combining fold-ability with feature-richness is now a reality. We understand end users are always looking for more advanced ways to gain independence with peace of mind. We feel confident that the new TGA Maximo will do just that and are proud to be presenting this remarkable model at Naidex National.”

The Maximo incorporates many additional features that elevate it above other competitor products in the 8mph class. From high visibility, low energy LED lights to a fully adjustable, folding orthopedic seat, the Maximo combines an impressive range of characteristics – all engineered with a precision, quality finish. The first TGA Maximo mobility scooter to be seen in the UK will be available for demonstration on Stand B70.
