Who we are:

Providing Services for Blind and Visually Impaired People

Our vision at Royal Blind is to make a significant contribution to building a community in which blind and partially sighted people, including those who also have other disabilities, are fully included and lead fulfilling lives.

We work towards fulfilling this vision, empowering blind people to achieve their potential and a brighter future.

Our objectives were:

•To supplement their earnings, supply clothing and aid them in sickness and old age
•To grant aid to indigent blind in all parts of Scotland.

Current services are provided at:
•Administration offices based at Gillespie Crescent
•Royal Blind School, with a Canaan Lane Campus and a Craigmillar Campus
•Forward Vision based at Canaan Lane
•Braeside House based at Liberton Brae, Edinburgh
•Scottish Braille Press, sited at Craigmillar Park, Edinburgh
